Made Jati Reports Michael at Poltabes for Criminal "Unpleasantness"
21 July 2010, Denpasar - Michael today received a police summons
from the Poltabes police station in
Denpasar on a criminal complaint by Made Jati. The complaint under Pasal 335 KUHP provides for a prison sentence of up to one
year for anyone who does something or writes something unpleasant about another person. According to many observers,
this section of the Indonesian Criminal Code is rarely used other than to silence "troublemakers"

Michael stated that certain members of the police at Poltabes are in apparent collusion with Made Jati in a "Bali
Law Mafia" and that Made Jati and her supporters have for years made numerous false reports at
Poltabes with the suspected
purpose of frightening Michael. In Indonesian this is called "gertak sambal" or "grinding chilis", Michael explained, meaning
making a big threat with little means to support it. "Poltabes is better off filing charges of Pasal 335 against
me directly for publishing Bali police documents demonstrating a Law Mafia, rather than going through Made Jati," he said.
"If I were in Bali, of course I would be worried," he said. "Look what happened to Tama."

I'm not certain I am safe even in L.A. as this heats up, but I will report
this group to the FBI and local police here."
Made Jati Fails to Appear on Contempt Charges - Continued to 23 September
1 July 2010, Los Angeles - Made Jati today failed to appear as ordered in connection with a warrant for arrest on 50 counts of Contempt of Court.
Her attorney, Mr Ruben Salgado, claimed that a mix-up of documents in the court
clerk's office had caused a delay in entering his motion to the court. The judge, visibly irritated but citing formal rules of procedure,
ordered a continuance to 23 September, retained the active status
of the outstanding Bench Warrant, and again ordered Made Jati to be present without fail on 23 September.
Made Jati Enters Motion to California Court to Quash Contempt Charges - Claims Lack of Jurisdiction
21 June 2010, Los Angeles - Made Jati today through her U.S. attorney Mr Ruben Salgado entered a motion to the Superior Court in Los Angeles
in connection with her criminal Contempt of Court case, requesting that the arrest warrant and case be quashed. Without denying the
essence of the criminal charges, Made Jati claims that she no longer wants custody of the children and that
the court in California does not have jurisdiction over an Indonesian citizen in ordering child support.
